Heirlooms by Sandra Byrd

Sandra has done it again.

I fell in love with Sandra Byrd’s gothic romance series, Daughters of Hampshire. Her newest novel, Heirlooms, is different, but just as good.

Heirlooms is a contemporary, split-time novel that brings together three generations of women in two different families. The novel touches on caring for widows and foreigners, as well as inclusion and love for those with Down Syndrome and Autism. At its heart, it’s a story about caring for those on the margins of society and the healing it can bring not only to those cared for, but to those doing the caring.

This novel touches on so many things, that it would take too long to list them all. The story is elegantly woven with mystery, and just enough revealed to keep the pages turning.

5 out of 5 stars.
