Drew Carter has gotten himself into a nearly hopeless situation. Just nearly, because he’s given a way out – join the CIA. There’s one problem, the Invader presence is stronger than ever, and Drew begins to question the motives of those he reports to.
The angel Validus comes to understand just how important Drew is in the spiritual war. He must protect the young man at all costs. The Fallen want Drew dead, and they hold nothing back.
This is the third book in the Wars of the Realm series. I have been waiting for this book to come out since I finished book two, and I was not disappointed. Part of me just wants to say “Wow!” but that’s not really a review, is it? But that’s the summation of it. This entire series has been great, but this book was the best by far. Action-packed and intense from the very beginning, and it really doesn’t let up. The characters are extremely well-written. The story is engaging. I teared up several times for various reasons. I gasped aloud several times. Just… wow.
This book does give the feel of a final installment, but I sincerely hope that this was not the last book in this series.
