Your Words Hold a Miracle by John Osteen

***Note added 2/18/19 – The review below was written before I knew the true meaning of the Gospel. I am leaving the review as is, but I can no longer recommend this book due to its connection with the Name It And Claim It form of the dangerous Prosperity “Gospel.”

The Bible says that life and death is in the power of the tongue. Your tongue, which you use to speak words, has power. What you say can affect your life.  This is the message behind “Your Words Hold a Miracle.” John Osteen teaches us how to use our words to make positive changes in our lives, based on God’s words. Using what he calls the ABC’s of faith, Osteen tells us that we should Agree with God’s Word, Believe God’s Word and Confess God’s Word.

This is a very good resource. This small, hardcover book is full color with beautiful pictures throughout. It also features a Forward by John’s well-known son, Pastor Joel Osteen. Joel also has “Reflections” after each chapter. One of the things I love about this book is the bullet points and lists. When there’s something John wants us to remember (something you might want to write down as notes) it’s indented, with bullets, in red. It makes it jump out, and it breaks things up a bit. All-in-all, it’s an enjoyable read, and will make you think about the things you say.

I give this one 4 out of 5.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for review purposes from Faith Words.
