Hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading, this week’s musing asks… What is/are the first book(s) you’re reading for the new year?
I am currently reading “Tyndale: The Man who Gave God an English Voice” by David Teems. It’s a biography of William Tyndale (what little is known about him personally) and his work on the translation of the english Bible. So far, it’s very enlightening.
The next book I plan to read, unless I get in one of the review books I’m waiting on, will be “The Priest’s Graveyard” by Ted Dekker.
OOH! That sounds really fascinating! I’ve hopped by your blog a few times now and it seems every single time I stop by you’re reading a really interesting book. 🙂
I’ve been meaning to read Ted Dekker for a while. He seems like an author I’d really enjoy.
My MM!

Well, thanks for hopping over! 🙂 I love books that make me think. I like some light reads too, but give me a book with an unexpected twist or symbolism, or something that I can learn from and I’m a happy camper.
Ted Dekker is awesome. He’s my favorite author. But let me make a suggestion of where to start. If you like thrillers/suspense, read Thr3e, House, Adam, or Obsession (House and Adam have more of a supernatural feel to them). If you like fantasy you MUST read his Circle series. Start with Black. Then read Red, White, and Green.
The first Dekker book I read was Thr3e. I was hooked! But Black (and the whole Circle series) is just beyond awesome.
